A visit from HRH Princess Anne
The Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a charity that supports people with visual and hearing impairments across Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire, in central Scotland. Leemic have supported them with their managed print needs and we recently introduced the unique interactive solution to complement and enhance their activity options.
We were delighted to receive this picture last week, courtesy of our valued client, who are the proud owners of one of our Sharp HiLo interactive Activity Touch Tables.
Princess Anne was visiting Falkirk and stopped by the pioneering charity to witness the hard work they do. Whilst she was there, Her Royal Highness took great interest in the Giant Android Tablet and delighted in an introduction to the product. The Queen’s only daughter was particularly keen to understand how it has enriched the visitors to the centre. The unit was a real star during the visit and the Princess could see the value of the tool in a world where modern technology is often prohibitive for the users.
The HiLo Interact Activity touch table has had a huge impact in the care sector and has proved a useful device for people with specific learning disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s and physical disabilities. Thanks to the interactive nature and the capacitive touch technology, four people can operate the device at anyone time. This encourages collaboration and socialisation through group games and activities.
The royal visit was a huge success and the Sharp HiLo Interactive Touch Table demo was one of the standouts of the day. At Leemic we were immensely proud to have been a small part of the day and we are delighted that this crucial piece of technology is having such a positive impact on the daily lives of the visitors.
